Join us for our meeting on July 1st, 2018 from 1:00-4:00pm at our new location:
Holy Spirit Parish
608 Farragut St
Pittsburgh, PA 1520 .
The meeting area is spacious, has plenty of tables and chairs, is super clean, and has tons of parking - the street out front serves as a parking lot.
Nikki will be talking about Free Motion Quilting!
The quilt top is all pieced, and now it's time to quilt it. Do you struggle to settle on a quilting design? Find it hard to decide on a design that you feel confident executing? Nikki will talk about choosing quilting designs with a wide range of ideas for all ability levels. If you have a quilt top that has you stumped, bring it to guild and we can discuss some quilting ideas!
We will have time at the end for a free motion quilting troubleshooting session. Nikki will talk about common pitfalls, and feel free to bring your own questions!

June Meeting Recap
On June 3rd, we had out last meeting at Assemble. For the rest of the year, we will be meeting at Holy Spirit Church in Millvale, 608 Farragut St, Pittsburgh, PA 15209.
Certified Quilt Appraiser, Jan Rogers, described the reasons for having a quilt appraisals done: Insurance Value, Fair Market Value, and Donation Value. She talked about the Western PA Quilt Documentation Project and enthusiastically encouraged quilters to value the time and labor that goes into our quilts!
Our dues year starts again in July, and we have lots more fun things planned for the year, so we hope you want to renew your membership! The $40 dues can be paid by cash, check, or PayPal.
One upcoming activity is a Block Printing Workshop on June 16th - check your email for the invitation.
We voted on designs for this year's QuiltCon Charity Quilt Challenge, and it's going to be a very fun quilt! Stay tuned for information on how you can participate.
We also started a new Minimalism Challenge ending with a prize drawing in September.
As always, we had some fun show and tell:
