On May 5th we spent a whole day sewing at St John's in the North Hills. We held our May meeting there as well. During the meeting we talked about:
- a new guild challenge : members who sew themselves nametags to bring and wear at meetings will be entered into a drawing to win a prize in November. You can use a pin back or lanyard. You can stamp, embroider, fussy cut, whatever you want!
- upcoming charity quilt challenge: 2019 QuiltCon Charity Quilt Challenge - the theme is small piecing. We’re looking for design ideas for June when we’ll vote on our design and start a committee to work on the quilt.
- looking for a charity to donate our 2018 QuiltCon Charity Quilt
- voted on next year's dues
- Michele shared that she was accepted to be part of the worldwide MQG Guild Programming & Leadership Task Force. They'll be working over the next 4 months or so on a resource for starting and growing guilds and on programming ideas.
- starting with the July meeting we will have a new meeting place in Millvale. More information will follow.
