Hello PGHMQG Members! Everyone get ready because we are meeting IN PERSON starting with our Sunday, July 12th meeting!! How excited are you, because I know I am! With that being said, let's have a few meeting reminders. Even though we are in the green we still all need to wear our masks and social distance during the meeting. We are lucky in that our space is big enough we shouldn't have a problem.
The July meeting will be round-robin style with tips and tricks for piecing odd shapes!
Also, please leave the center lane in the parking area open for church patrons to be able to leave.
A note from the treasurer this month: Holy Spirit will apply payments made for canceled meetings to future meetings and we have been reimbursed by Three Rivers and NPQG for quilt show submission fees. Other than that the books haven't changed from previous months.
We will not be rescheduling the retreat this year. We will try to get everything set up for 2021.
June was the deadline for our second quarter stripe challenge quilts and those who completed did an amazing job! Those quilts can be found at the end of this post. These quilts will be on exhibit at the PNQE Mancuso show in September, if it happens.
The third quarterly challenge will be Triangles! Create a modern quilt that includes one or more triangles. Some ideas to get you started: Try improv, use different types of triangles: half-square triangles, equilateral triangles, etc, or play with flying geese! No restrictions on size, colors, fabric, etc.
The hashtag for the current challenge is:

QuiltCon 2021 will be going viral and classes will be announced this month with registration opening in July.
The new 2021 QuiltCon Community Outreach Quilt Challenge has also been announced and this year's theme is curves with the below color palette! We will vote on a guild design during the August meeting. We can't wait to see your ideas!
Our weekly virtual meetups will now end! We hope to see everyone in July! If we have to cancel the in-person meetings in the future we will discuss restarting the weekly zoom meetups.
If you haven't already check out the June slides that have been sent to your emails with a run-through on how to calculate yardage with our B!!
SHOW AND TELL!
Missy B bring out all the bright fabrics for this quilt and
we wouldn't expect anything different from her then these AMAZING bags!
Zsofia has been hard at work making this cute dress and tank.
The quilting on this is mesmerizing! Great job, Z!
Our very own Vivian has made this colorful and wavy striped quilt!
Mary with her many finishes!
Pam has also been on a roll these last couple of months!
Three for Sally!
First, three blocks that I created at a curves workshop. It is perfect for the flowers.
Second Sally did a 30-day virus challenge in April. As an exercise in front of a set of glass blocks, the light coming through casts different patterns. Sally capture these using reverse appliqué.
And this one is a block of the month using mainly Marcie Derse fabrics!
