April meeting recap

April's meeting kicked off with a little business talk. We discussed some details about the upcoming retreat on May 2nd and collected some blocks for the guild's next charity quilt. If you would like to participate, Sarah is collecting 12x18" blocks that are in a green, blue, and grey color scheme. Here is a photo of Gerry and Amanda's blocks:

The March FQ Club bundles were dispersed. Melissa chose a lovely assortment that included some metallic prints from the Cotton and Steel Basics collection and Botanics by Carolyn Friedlander:

Payment for the June FQ Club is due at the May meeting. The fee is $12 to get a surprise selection of four fat quarters chosen by Lauren. The next selection will be available at the June meeting.

Some of the member's had some lovelies for show and tell:

Sandy's Hack Slash blocks
Check out the guild's Flickr page for all of the show and tell photos from this meeting!

Melissa and Lauren provided a nice recap of QuiltCon complete with some cool prints that they made in a screen printing workshop. We are hoping to do our own screen printing workshop in the future!
