July Meeting Recap

August meeting and sew day (Pending County Orders!)

This is our second of Three sew days planned for 2020!

Join us any time from 9am - 9pm on Saturday, August 1st for an all-day sew day.

Brief business meeting at 1pm.

Remember to bring a mask and practice social distancing!

Do not park in front of the church! All cars must be parked on side streets because the church has scheduled First Holy Communions for this day.

Upcoming Meetings
(Pending County Orders!)

All future meetings are pending coronavirus restrictions but whether we meet in person or continue to distance learn, this is what’s in the hopper for later in the year:

  • Various binding techniques and tutorials
  • Color Theory lesson
  • Holiday gift exchange - This year's gift - Needle Books
  • Quarter Four Challenge - TBD

We are also looking into online workshops just in case we won’t be able to meet for an en extended period of time. More to follow on that!

Leadership

It's not too soon to start thinking about filling leadership positions for 2021. We are seeking nominations for all positions which include:

  • President
  • Vice President of Programming
  • Vice President of Membership
  • Treasurer
  • Social Media Coordinator

If you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else, contact Pam Morrison at yopamm@gmail.com

Piecing Unusual Shapes
  • Angles
  • Curves
  • Y-Seams

… quarantine style, unfortunately not a round-robin but more like homeschooling!

We’ve found three online tutorials that illustrate how to piece angles, curves, and Y-seams. These are fundamental lessons worthy of your quilting reference library. A link to PDF versions has been emailed to all members!
